2024 Nationwide: Sunday 8 September 2024, 10-2pm
Grass courts & Southern: Sunday 13 October, 10-2pm
Why Love Tennis
It's all about ‘bringing the community in’ to your club. Reaching out and engaging with your community and connecting as a team of club volunteers. “This club is a place for everybody”. Love Tennis is fast becoming one of New Zealand's favourite community events, inspiring people across the country, to get along to their local tennis club, pick up a racquet and give tennis a go.
“Love Tennis is a showcase to the community to show them what your club is all about”.
Registration info for your club
It’s a three-way collaboration Tennis NZ, Regions/Association and Clubs, working together and sharing the financial commitment. Love Tennis merchandise/resource kits are now one standard size and suitable for up to around 100 visitors. Cost to clubs - kit $185+GST. A second kit can be ordered for clubs expecting 100+ visitors.

We asked clubs what worked well for them in 2023:
- Adults coming who hadn't played tennis in years
- Community coming together
- Constant stream of people coming into the club to see what we offer
- Every court was full and the place was buzzing
- The amount of people turning up well exceeded our expectation
The value of Love Tennis cannot be understated. The event has driven us as a sport to innovate and keep challenging norms, we have a desire to be New Zealand’s favourite sport for participation and Love Tennis is a cornerstone of our strategy.
It is quite unlike any other event in the country and we can’t wait to get more people playing in 2024!
