SENIOR TENNIS COACH – SUNNYHILLS TENNIS CLUB

Gabriel Hernandez Coaching, based out of multiple clubs in Auckland city, is looking for a Senior Coach to work at Sunnyhills TC, but with the opportunity to build a full time role, coaching at other venues in the city, as well.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Job will require the senior coach to run confidently all types lessons (Hotshots, interclub-level juniors & adults, beginner group classes, cardio tennis, private lessons etc).

Coach should also manage a team of club & assistant coaches when the groups are large.

 

EXPERIENCE: Senior coach should be at least level 1 ITF or the international equivalent. Should also have a high-level playing background, and at least 5 years of coaching experience

 

KEY SKILLS required:

-Great Communication (in English) with other coaches, club members, parents, students etc.

-Reliable, punctual, team player and flexible

 

START DATE: October 2026 but with the option to start building it up during the winter months. Once Term 4 starts, this will become a full time position with 35 to 45hrs available for the right candidate.

 

REMUNERATION: Between $50 to $65/hr depending on the type of class run and also based on coach’s experience/skills. Weekend work is essential.

 We’d prefer if the coach was open to play senior interclub for one of the clubs, during the summer months.

We’ve one of the best & largest coaching teams in the country and work out of some great clubs.

Police/background check will be required.

During term breaks, coach has the option to keep working with private lessons, holiday programs etc or have a break and resume coaching the following term.

Full-Time/Part-Time Tennis Coach

Inspire Tennis based at Marlborough Tennis Club/ Marlborough District. Inspire Tennis is the contracted provider to Marlborough Tennis Club and Tennis Marlborough.  

Inspire Tennis is looking for a tennis coach in Blenheim. Inspire Tennis runs both club and regional coaching programs out of the wonderful Marlborough Tennis Club and Renwick Tennis Club. Pay will be based on experience, with lots of room to grow within the business.  

This role will involve:

  • Hot Shots Coaching 

  • Junior & Adult Group Coaching

  • Tennis in Schools

  • Private lessons with both juniors and adults 

  • Pro shop work (such as stringing rackets) 

  • Holiday Camps 

  • Junior Tournaments & Rep fixtures

The Game (www.thegame.net.nz) is a tennis management company that delivers comprehensive coaching programs to all ages and abilities in 5 clubs and around 30 schools across Auckland.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Development Tennis Coach to join our growing North Shore team. Working under the guidance of our Head Coach, this role is ideal for a coach with experience delivering Hot Shots and junior development programs.

This is a full-time position with for 30 hours per week, including afternoons, evenings and weekends. The successful applicant will be based primarily at Campbells Bay and may also have opportunities to work across other Auckland venues operated by The Game.

About the Role

• Deliver Hot Shots (Blue, Red, Orange and Green Ball) programs in the club and local schools
• Coach beginner and intermediate junior players

Coach - Hamilton Tennis Academy

Hamilton tennis academy coaches over 200 people every week. 
We run Hotshots, a Development/performance programme, Cardio tennis, our own clinic/workshop type programs and our own social & competitive competitions and have multiple private coaching programmes.

We are in search of a coach available to work part time or full time within all aspects of the business; including Schools, Hotshots, Interclub, Academy, Private Lessons and more. This can be a good way to work part time for example, along with your studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan engaging and rewarding tennis lessons for individuals and groups.
    · Adjust drills based on session progress to optimize learning.
    · Provide constructive feedback & develop training plans to enhance player performance.

We are searching for a High Performance Tennis Coach to develop and assist in the high performance side of our Tennis Coaching business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching the sport of tennis in high performance regional and national level environments working with players on regional and nationally recognised pathways.

You will be responsible for planning and organising high-quality lessons and high performance programs to develop high performance skills and improve performance of our exceptional tennis players.   You will also deliver group practices and private lessons to create high performance outcomes.

Tasks Include:

  • coaching, training and instructing high performance sportspersons by analysing performances and developing abilities;
  • planning and directing high performance game strategies, developing high performance play patterns and analysing high performance game progress;
  • motivating high performance Sportspersons and supervising high performance practice sessions;
  • recruiting high performance players and other high performance coaching staff;
  • arranging entries into high performance sporting competitions;
  • promoting high performance sports and skills development, and overseeing the participation of young people in sport;
  • officiating at high performance sporting events to enforce rules;
  • Coordinating and directing sporting activities and liaising with other officials to interpret and enforce rules and regulations relating to sport.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Clean Police Vet (Childrens’ Act)
  • Proven experience as a tennis coach or player with an in-depth understanding of the technical, tactical, and psychological demands of the sport.
  • Strong track record of coaching players to competitive success in tournaments, leagues, and high-level competitions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with players, parents, and club members.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work seamlessly within a team of coaches to create a unified coaching approach.
  • A genuine passion for tennis and a commitment to instilling that passion in others.

This is a skill level 3 occupation on the National Occupations List number 452326. River City Tennis is looking for an energetic, organised, and experienced Head Coach to lead and grow tennis in the Whanganui region. This is an outstanding opportunity for a coach who loves working with junior players, can confidently deliver performance and adult programmes, and wants to stay actively involved in competitive tennis.

Role Overview
Position: Head Coach – Junior & Senior Development

Location: Whanganui Tennis Club / Whanganui Region

● Restricted NZ driver lisence minimum and reliable transport.
