Routliffe loses doubles final in Luxembourg but Rai wins title in Monastir

Erin Routliffe and Kimberley Zimmermann have come up short in the Doubles final at the WTA tournament in Luxembourg this morning. The Kiwi Belgian combination have lost 6-3 6-3 in 59 minutes to the Belgian pair of Greet Minnen and Alison Van Uytvanck.

Their serving was the difference with an incredibly high first serve percentage of 81. The Belgian combination lost just one second serve point in the match.

Routliffe is projected to climb to 66 in the WTA rankings and she now heads to the WTA 500 tournament in Ostrava in the Czech Republic teaming up with American Kaitlyn Christian.

Artem Sitak and Antonio Sancic have lost the double’s final at the ATP Challenger tournament in Istanbul. They have been beaten 4-6,7-5, 11-9 by

Radu Albot and Alexander Cozbinov. Sitak now heads to the ATP 250 event in Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan and teams up with Ricardo Berankis from Lithuania. They face young Finn Emil Ruusuvuori and Italian veteran Andreas Seppi in the first round.

 Meanwhile Ajeet Rai has won his fourth doubles title and third this year at an ITF tournament in Monastir in Tunisia. Rai and Li Tu have beaten Martin Breysach and Lilian Marmousez 6-0 6-4 in 49 minutes.
