Good wins for Routliffe and Sitak on WTA and ATP Tour

Erin Routliffe and Artem Sitak have made strong starts to their respective WTA and ATP tournaments this week.

Routliffe fresh off the news she is at a career high 67 in the WTA doubles rankings, has won through to the quarter finals at the WTA 500 tournament in Ostrava in the Czech Republic.

Teaming up with American Kaitlyn Christian, the third seeds have beaten India’s Ruthja Bhosale and Britain’s Emily Webley-Smith6-3 6-4 in an hour and 12 minutes.

Artem Sitak is through to the doubles quarter finals at the ATP 250 event in Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan. Teaming up with Ricardo Berankis from Lithuania, the pair have beaten young Finn Emil Ruusuvuori and Italian veteran Andreas Seppi 7-5 6-3 in an hour and 20.
