Kiwi doubles trio line up in new ATP tournament in Sardinia

Michael Venus, Marcus Daniell and Artem Sitak have all headed to the Mediterranean island of Sardinia for this week’s ATP 250 tournament.

Venus and his Australian partner John Peers are the second seeds and have been drawn against the Italian wildcard pair of Marco Cecchinato and Andreas Seppi in the first round.

Daniell and his Austrian partner Philipp Oswald are seeded third and scheduled to meet Venus and Peers if both pairs make the semi-finals.

They face Spanish alternates Albert Ramos-Vinolas and David Vega Hernandez.

Artem Sitak and his Slovak partner Igor Zelenay face Pablo Andujar of Spain and Uruguay’s Pablo Cuevas and will face Daniell and Oswald if both pairs win their opening encounters.
