Safeguarding Our Sport

Our commitment to safeguarding players

*If an individual is in immediate danger, please contact the Police on 111.*

Tennis NZ believes that everyone has the right to be safe, protected, free from harm, and have fun while taking part in any aspect of tennis.

Tennis NZ’s safeguarding resources are underpinned by our recently refreshed Tennis Participant Protection Regulation (TPPR,2025) and designed for organisations and individuals. The resources:

  • Help everyone understand their mandatory safeguarding responsibilities - at individual, club and regional level

  • Include guidelines for best practice safeguarding initiatives and how to upskill and learn more

  • Explain how to understand and use the TPPR and Tennis NZ’s National Police Vetting Service

Simply scroll down to access the resources.

For any enquiries relating to these resources, you can contact the Tennis NZ team by emailing us.
