MatchPoint (MatchHub Replacement)

MATCHPOINT - OUR NEW INTERCLUB SCORING SOFTWARE

MatchPoint Logo RGB Primary White

  • MatchPoint is set to replace MatchHub as the team management and scoring software for NZ interclub competitions

  • MatchPoint is scheduled to take over from the 2025/2026 summer interclub season

Why are we changing?

MatchHub has delivered interclub brilliantly for over 20 years, but MatchHub as a product has reached the end of its lifespan. A new software platform is needed to meet the current demands of delivering interclub competitions, so it's an opportunity to upgrade.

MatchPoint has some exciting new features like:

  • Scoring App - Upload your scores from your phone right after the match (Less books and pens!)
  • Player Ladder - Each grade has a player ladder so you can see who in your grade is performing well
  • Compatible with the new ranking system: The ITF World Tennis Number

MatchPoint and the World Tennis Number (WTN)

The WTN will be the primary ranking system used in MatchPoint. The WTN is a worldwide ranking system driven by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) that New Zealand will begin to use across all interclub competitions.

Benefits of moving to the WTN include:

  • A global scale for everyone, regardless of age, gender or ability
  • A modern online system that will calculate a player’s number on a weekly basis
  • Find opponents that are evenly matched to you, wherever you are in the world

FAQs

If you have a question and it is not covered below or on this page, please email your local interclub administrator.

The World Tennis Number (WTN) is now live, and is replacing the S and D ratings. We have more information on this here. We will be maintaining S and D ratings until at least the end of 2025, and they will continue to be displayed on MatchHub.

To gain access to player rankings and match history on the WTN site you will need a WTN login.
A guide on how to log in for the first time can be found here.

You only need a MatchPoint login if you a scoring a match.

If you are scoring a match, then you will need a MatchPoint login - which also works as your login for the MatchPoint scoring app.
There is a guide on how to login for the first time here.

We will continue to use MatchHub to house this until at least the end of 2025, and there will be further information on an updated solution to come.

Not at this stage. While results from Club Champs will be able to contribute to your WTN, these will continue to be organised in Tournament Software.

Yes! In MatchPoint, each team is responsible for entering the correct team at the start of the fixture, on the day.

The home team is responsible for entering the scores, while the away team is responsible for final approval.

Entering the teams on the day eliminates the possibility of a late ring-in not being found in the system.
