How do I get on the coach register?
Only coaches who have completed a Coach Education Course that is recognised by the International Tennis Federation will appear on the register.
If you believe you have completed a course that is recognised and you aren’t on the register please submit your qualification certificate here.
Historical TCNZ/TNZ coach qualifications were not recognised by the ITF, therefore if you only have one of these qualifications you will not appear on the coach register. To upskill you will either need to attend a modern course recognised by the ITF or apply to complete the Recognition of Current Competence process here.
How do I get all 5 checks?
- Safeguarding is a minimum requirement on all ITF recognised courses. If your qualifications is older then 2005 you may be required to complete the online module associated with this check.
- First Aid Certificate need to be uploaded here. Coaches will receive an email reminder 30 days prior to your certificate expiry.
- Police Vet must be completed through the Tennis NZ National Police Vet service here. Coaches will receive an email reminder 90 days prior to your police vet expiry.
- Insurance will be ticked upon uploading of relevant certificate of insurance or discussing with coaching@tennis.kiwi
- Coaches Code of Ethics is agreed upon on the submission of this form.
If you have any further questions or are unsure on why you don’t appear on the coach register, please email.
