Hear from clubs about the new constitution template.

Milestones Towards April 2026

The key points for clubs to note:

  • As of September 2024
    • Clubs will be able to use this Hub to learn about and get more information on the changes.
    • Clubs will be able to read and review the DRAFT Club Constitution template and guidance notes.
  • From December 2024
    •  Clubs will be able to access and download the final Club Constitution Template and guidance notes.

Before re-registering, clubs will need to wait for their relevant Local Tennis Partner or Regional Tennis Organisation to hold their SGM/AGM to ratify the new constitution. This will then trigger the ability for your club to proceed.

  •  Before April 2026
    • Clubs will need to have completed their own AGM/SGM process to vote in their new constitution before re-registering with the Incorporated Societies registry.

Once the Tennis New Zealand constitution has been ratified, Local Tennis Partners will need to:

  • Set a date for an SGM (before March 2025) to have their member clubs vote the new constitution into being.
  • Support clubs in their area with their own process and any needs the clubs have.
  • Re-register with the Incorporated Societies registry before April 2026.

Once the Tennis New Zealand constitution has been ratified, Regional Tennis Organisations will need to:

  • Set a date for an SGM (before March 2025) to have their member clubs vote the new constitution into being.
  • Support clubs in their area with their own process and any needs the clubs have.
  • Re-register with the Incorporated Societies registry before April 2026.
