Sitak and Hourigan reach doubles semi finals

Artem Sitak and his doubles partner Sergio Martos Gomes are through to the semi-finals at the ATP Challenger tournament in in Biella in Italy. They have beaten Canadian Adil Shamasdin and Switzerland's Luca Margaroli 6-1 7-6 (4) in the quarter finals. The match lasted 1 hour 23.  Sitak and Martos Gomes will play the Brazilian pair of Felipe Meigeni Rodrigues Alves and Rafael Matos for a place in the final.

Paige Hourigan has struggled in her second-round singles match in Salinas in Ecuador at the ITF US $25,000 women's tournament. Hourigan failed to hold serve during the match and has 6-1 6-2 to Canadian Carol Zhao in one hour and 21 minutes.

Hourigan has bounced back to reach the doubles semi finals with Britain’s Jodi Barrage 6-3 6-3 in one hour and 7 minutes over the Japanese pair of Miyabi lnoue and Akiko Omae.

Erin Routliffe and her Indonesian partner Aldilia Sutjiadi have lost a close match against the top seeds in the quarter finals at the ITF US $100,000 tournament in Charleston.  They have been beaten 4-6, 6-0 10-7 by American’s Caty McNally and Storm Sanders.
