Routliffe to get underway at Indian Wells

Wednesday, 06 October 2021

Erin Routliffe will be the first of the two New Zealand representatives underway at the Indian Wells Masters in Palm Springs.

Routliffe and her American partner Kaitlyn Christian have been drawn against sixth seeds Gaby Dabrowski and Hayley Carter.

They are due to take to the court around 2pm NZT this afternoon.

Michael Venus and his fit again German partner Tim Puetz have a tough assignment against top Spanish singles players Carlos Alcaraz and Pablo Carreno Busta. They are likely to play on Friday or Saturday NZT.

With Puetz declaring himself fit, Marcus Daniell has been unable to get a spot in the tournament having been Venus’s plan B if the German was injured.
