Routliffe out of Charleston but Sitak into Challenger final in Mexico City

Erin Routliffe and her Polish partner Alicja Rosolska have lost a tight first round doubles match at the WTA 500 tournament in Charleston in South Carolina.

They have been beaten 4-6, 6-1, 10-7 in 1 hour 24 minutes by the fourth seeds Andreja Klepac from Slovenia and Poland’s Magda Linette.

Routliffe will now link up with the New Zealand Billie Jean King Cup team in Antalya in Turkey for the Asia Oceania Group 1 tournament and will reunite with Rosolska for the clay court season starting at the WTA tournament in Stuttgart.

Meanwhile Artem Sitak and his French partner Jonathan Eysseric are through to the double’s final at the ATP Challenger tournament in Mexico City.

They have beaten Boris Arias and Federico Zeballos from Bolivia 6-4,6-7(8)10-6 in an hour and 47 minutes. They will face Chilean Nicolas Jarry and Brazilian Matheus Pucinelli De Almeida in the final.
