Erin Routliffe has continued her fine form from the US Open into the European indoor season.

The 26-year-old who made the third round of the doubles in New York with singles runner up, Canadian Leylah Fernandez, is through to the quarter finals at the WTA tournament in Luxembourg.

Teaming up with Belgium's Kimberley Zimmerman, they have beaten Belarussian Lidziya Marozava and Romanian Andreea Mitu 6-4, 7-5 in one hour and 30 minutes.

Routliffe and Zimmerman will face Norway’s Ulrikke Eikeri and Russian Varvara Gracheva for a place in the semi-finals.

The Kiwi is up to a career high of 78 in the WTA doubles rankings.
