Routliffe and Rosolska come up just short in Bad Homburg final

Erin Routliffe and her Polish partner Alicja Rosolska have been beaten in the double’s final at the WTA tournament in Bad Homburg in Germany.

After winning their rain delayed semi final 6-3 6-2 against Georgia’s Oksana Kalashnikova and American Ingrid Neel, Routliffe and Rosolska lost a tight match in the title decider 6-4 6-7 (5) 10-5 in one hour and 59 minutes to the top seeded Japanese pair of Makoto Ninomiya and Eri Hozumi.

Routliffe and Rosolska now head to Wimbledon which starts on Monday night. They are the 11th seeds in the Ladies doubles at the All-England Club.
