NZ Junior Billie Jean King Cup and Junior Davis Cup Teams Confirmed

UPDATE 4 MAY 2023

After some hard fought matches, the New Zealand Billie Jean King Cup Junior team have finished 3rd in their group which meant they were unable to proceed through to the top playoff round. They will be playing for a spot in the the nine-12th places.

UPDATE 14 APRIL 2023

The New Zealand Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying Junior Billie Jean King Cup and Junior Davis Cup Teams have been confirmed.

Both qualifying events are being held in Shymkent, Kazhahstan on Clay where the teams compete for an entry into the World Championships. 

The NZ Junior Billie Jean King Cup team consists of Aishi Das (Auckland), Lucia Gale (Canterbury), Amber Dano (Central) and non-travelling reserve Ayla Giesen (Central). Emily Fanning is the Captain alongside Celine Schneider, Team Manager. 

Fanning, Das , Dano and Giesen head to the new Dry River Tennis Centre venue in Wairarapa next weekend. Gale is currently playing ITF events in Asia and will meet up with the team as they start their preparation in Shymkent on the 26th April. The ITF Teams Event is being held from the 1st to 6th May.

The NZ Junior Davis Cup team consists of Kai Milburn (Southern), Archie Stewart, Finn Willman (Waikato-Bays) and non-travelling reserve Dan Milburn (Southern).

Mark Milburn is the Captain alongside Celine Schneider, Team Manager. 

Willman who arrives back for the US will join Milburn at the Dry River Tennis Centre venue in Wairarapa with National Development Coach Matt Alexander before flying to Canberra for the Canberra ITF Tournament on Clay.

Stewart who currently resides in Australia and has recently been training in Spain, will meet the team in Canberra. The team will stay on in Canberra training on Clay before heading to Shymkent. The boy's event is being held from the 8th to 13th May.
