Open Court – Social Tennis
What is open court?
Open Court is a free, fun and social way to get into tennis — no pressure, no skill needed. It’s all about having a hit, meeting new people, and enjoying good vibes.
Who is it for?
Open Court is primarily designed for 15–35 year olds in mind, but open to anyone who’s new to the game or hasn’t played in a while. Come solo, bring your mates or whānau — everyone’s welcome, even if you’ve never picked up a racquet.
What to expect
You’ll be greeted by a friendly host, meet some new faces, and jump into relaxed tennis games with different partners. There’ll be music, laughs, and zero pressure. After the session? Hang out, have a bit to eat, and plan your return.
Each session runs for about 60 minutes:
- 10-minute warm-up
- 50 minutes of fun games and tennis activities
- Time to chill, chat, and snack
Where to play
Open Court is popping up at clubs across Aotearoa. Check with your local club to see when they’re hosting.
More in to food than forehands?
Whether you’re rolling in with mates or flying solo, Open Court is all about having fun, meeting new people, and grabbing a bite while you're at it — no experience needed.
