The month after Love Tennis is the most important time to turn attendees into active participants and long-term members. A simple, consistent communication plan helps people feel welcomed, informed, and connected to your club community.
Tennis NZ will send you your attendee details within 48hrs of Love Tennis, it's now over to you to connect and build a relationship with your members.
The week after Love Tennis
Day 1 - 7: Send an email to all attendees to thank them for coming.
- Thanks for attending Love Tennis
- Event highlights and photos
- Membership offers or promotions
- Information on coaching, social, and competitive opportunities
- Clear instructions on how to get involved
- Contact details for further questions
Optional: Include a short feedback survey to understand attendees' interests.
Plan for the seaon ahead
Days 8 - 9: Send a club newsletter/email update highlighting:
- Upcoming programmes and events
- Coaching and social tennis opportunities
- Website and social media links
- Photos that showcase your club culture
Day 10 - 14: Make a personal phone call to attendees
Ask: "Thanks for attending Love Tennis. What can our club do to help you get involved?" This is a valuable opportunity to understand their interests and recommend suitable activities.
Days 15 - 20: Build your connections - send a follow-up email featuring:
- Club news and upcoming events
- Success stories or member profiles
- Coaching and social opportunities
- Links to your website and social media
