Venus and Puetz into 6th ATP Final together

Michael Venus and his German partner Tim Puetz are through to their sixth ATP doubles final together. The top seeds are through to the final at the ATP 250 tournament in Kitzbuhel in Austria.

They have won a tight match over the German pair of Andreas Mies and Kevin Krawietz 7-6 (8) 7-6 (0) in an hour and 56 minutes.

Venus and Puetz faced no break points on serve in the match. They will face the unseeded pair of Spaniard Pedro Martinez and Italian Lorenzo Sonego for the title.

Venus and Puetz are eighth in the race to qualify for the season ending ATP Finals in Turin, featuring the top eight doubles pairs throughout the season. The Kiwi is projected to be back in the top 10 at 9 in the individual ATP doubles rankings regardless of the result of the final.
