Thursday, 22 June 2023

Tennis NZ welcomes Chris Bint to our team, taking the role of National Performance Coach.

Chris is an experienced performance coach, with a 13-year career across the UK and New Zealand. He was part of the LTA Midlands Regional Performance team, and most recently has been High Performance Director with the Lavie Tennis Academy in Auckland.

Chris will begin his new role in September and is looking forward to the challenge.

“I’m really excited to get stuck into the role. I’ve worked with a lot of the current performance players and know we definitely have the talent here in New Zealand to compete well on a world stage.” Says Bint.

“We’re excited to have Chris join our team in September, his approach to working in tandem with the tennis community really impressed us through the interview process” says Tennis NZ CEO Julie Paterson.

Chris will work closely with current Tennis NZ performance coach Matt Alexander in his new role. He is currently working with the New Zealand junior teams competing Australian Teams Event on the Gold Coast.
