Erin Routliffe and her Polish partner Alicia Rosolska are through to the quarter-finals at the Miami Open.

They've beaten American Asia Muhammad and Japan's Ena Shibahara 6-4,3-6,10-6 in an hour and 36 minutes.

Routliffe and Rosolska will have their work cut out in the quarter finals when they take on the top seeded pair of Veronika Kudermetova and Belgian Elise Mertens.

Routliffe is projected to reach a career-high ranking of 33 next week, and even higher if she goes further in the tournament.
