NZ Boys Team Finish 10th in World Junior Tennis Qualifying

The New Zealand Boys 14u team of Neve UpstonJacques RupeJake Karatha and Captain Seb Lavie finished 10th at the World Junior Tennis Qualifying event in Kuching, Malaysia.

The NZ team had a tough group in the round robin stage going down to fourth seeds Thailand and fifth seeds Chinese Taipei. NZ had a good win against Singapore to finish third in the pool.

In the 9th - 16th Playoffs NZ had a strong 3-0 win against Pakistan and 2-1 win against Iran.

In the 9th-10th playoff match NZ lost to Indonesia 2-1 to finish 10th overall.

The top for teams - Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea Rep., Hong Kong China advance to the World Finals.
