What You Need To Do As A Club
As a club within the Tennis system, you have roles and responsibilities around safeguarding.
You need to:
- Appoint a safeguarding lead. Click here for the safeguarding lead page.
- The Safeguarding Lead can be any person within the Club.
The role of the Safeguarding Lead is:
• Co-ordinate and oversee the screening processes within the Club
• Be the named individual at the Club that anyone with a concern about participant protection can approach for guidance on how to address the matter within the Regulation guidelines.
• Engage with the Regional Complaints Manager if there is a need to have them approach a possible
Complainant or investigate an incident that has come to light.
- Provide the Tennis Participant Protection Regulation (TPPR) document on your club website. Click here for the TPPR document.
- Ensure you know and have the processes required around disputes and complaints provided to your committee and available for members.
- Have safeguarding as a standing item on your agenda.
