Safe Tennis

Our commitment to safeguarding players

If an individual is in immediate danger, please contact the Police on 111.

Tennis NZ believes that everyone has the right to be safe, protected, free from harm, and have fun while taking part in any aspect of tennis.

Tennis NZ’s safeguarding resources are designed for organisations and individuals and specifically relate to safeguarding children (under 18) and vulnerable adults. The resources:

  • Help everyone understand their mandatory safeguarding responsibilities
  • Include guidelines for best practice safeguarding initiatives
  • Explain Tennis NZ’s National Police Vetting Service
